Rewards Rules
Last updated: 5/5/2026
These Rewards Rules explain how the card-linked rewards programme works at participating laundromats using Cashless Payment Solutions technology.
The rewards programme is offered by the laundromat where you use your card. Cashless Payment Solutions Limited, referred to as CPS, supplies the payment and rewards technology that helps the laundromat operate the programme.
By pressing Continue or Join when a rewards screen is shown on the payment terminal, you agree to take part in the rewards programme for the card token used at that laundromat.
Points are linked only to the card token used at that laundromat. Points do not move between laundromats, cards, people, or sites.
1. How rewards work
When you pay for an eligible wash or dry using a participating payment terminal, you may earn points at the laundromat where you used your card.
If your points balance is high enough, you may be able to use points to pay for a wash or dry at that same laundromat.
The value of points is set by each laundromat and may vary by location.
Points have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, transferred, refunded as money, or exchanged for cash.
2. Where points can be used
Points can only be used at the laundromat where they were earned.
Points do not transfer:
- to another laundromat
- to another site
- to another payment card
- to another person
- to another rewards balance
If you earn points at one laundromat, you cannot use those points at a different laundromat.
3. How you join
You join the rewards programme for a card by pressing Continue when the rewards screen is shown on the payment terminal.
The rewards programme is linked to the card token supplied by the payment system. It is not linked to your name, phone number, email address, or full card number.
If you choose Opt out, that card token will not earn points and cannot be opted back into the programme later.
Because CPS does not receive or store your full card number, CPS cannot identify your actual card number later or manually opt that card back into the programme.
4. Earning points
Points are earned on eligible paid wash and dry transactions.
The number of points earned may depend on the laundromat, machine, price, or rewards settings at that location.
Points may not be earned on:
- declined payments
- cancelled payments
- reversed payments
- refunded payments
- chargebacks
- transactions paid for using points
- transactions where the payment terminal, card token, or rewards system cannot identify the card token
- transactions at laundromats that are not participating in the programme
Points may be added immediately or after the transaction has been processed.
5. Using points
If your points balance is high enough to pay for the selected wash or dry, the payment terminal may ask whether you want to use points.
If you choose Yes, the required number of points will be deducted and the machine may be authorised without charging your card for that wash or dry.
If you choose No, you can pay normally and keep your points.
You cannot part-pay with points unless the terminal clearly offers that option.
Transactions paid for using points do not earn new points.
6. Card changes, replacement cards, and mobile wallets
Points are linked to the card token supplied by the payment system.
If your card is replaced, expires, is lost or stolen, or if you use a different physical card or mobile wallet, the system may treat it as a different card.
Points cannot be moved, combined, restored, or transferred from one card token to another.
CPS and the laundromat do not receive or store your full card number, expiry date, CVV, PIN, or bank account details. CPS only receives tokenised information needed to operate the rewards programme.
7. Missing, lost, delayed, or incorrect points
The rewards programme is designed to operate automatically.
CPS does not manually adjust, restore, transfer, merge, or correct points balances. The laundromat may also choose not to adjust, restore, transfer, merge, or correct points balances.
Points may be missing, delayed, unavailable, or not recorded because of:
- declined, reversed, refunded, or disputed transactions
- use of a different card
- replacement cards
- mobile wallet token differences
- payment terminal faults
- network, internet, or system issues
- machine communication issues
- fraud prevention controls
- opt-out status
- use at another laundromat or site
- incomplete or unavailable transaction data
To the maximum extent allowed by law, CPS and the laundromat are not responsible for missing, lost, delayed, unavailable, expired, or incorrectly recorded points.
Nothing in these Rewards Rules limits any rights you may have under New Zealand law, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act.
8. Machine faults
If a machine does not work properly, contact the laundromat where you used your card.
Points are not automatically refunded or restored if a machine fault occurs.
CPS does not operate the laundromat machines and does not control machine performance, wash quality, dryer performance, refunds, or customer service decisions at the laundromat.
Nothing in these Rewards Rules limits any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.
9. Expiry of points
Points expire after 12 months of no eligible rewards activity on that card token at that laundromat.
Eligible rewards activity means earning or using points at the same laundromat.
Expired points cannot be restored, transferred, or exchanged for money.
10. Opting out
You can opt out using the option shown on the payment terminal.
Opting out is permanent for that card token.
If you opt out:
- that card token will stop earning points
- any historical points balance linked to that card token will be removed or made unavailable
- that card token cannot be opted back in later
- points cannot be restored, transferred, or paid out
Because CPS does not receive or store your full card number, CPS cannot later identify the actual card number and reactivate it.
11. Fraud, misuse, or tampering
A card token may be blocked from rewards, and points may be cancelled or made unavailable, if CPS or the laundromat reasonably believes there has been:
- fraud
- attempted fraud
- machine tampering
- payment abuse
- chargeback abuse
- misuse of the rewards programme
- technical manipulation of the terminal, payment system, or rewards system
12. Changes to the programme
The rewards programme may be changed, suspended, or ended.
Changes may include:
- how points are earned
- how points are used
- the value of points
- expiry rules
- participating machines
- participating laundromats
- whether the programme continues
Where practical, reasonable notice may be given for material changes.
If a laundromat stops participating, closes, changes ownership, changes payment provider, or ends the rewards programme, unused points may become unavailable and cannot be paid out as cash.
13. Privacy
The rewards programme works using tokenised card information supplied by the payment system.
CPS and the laundromat do not receive or store your full card number, expiry date, CVV, PIN, or bank account details.
CPS may receive and use:
- a card token or payment token
- transaction date and time
- laundromat location
- machine used
- wash or dry price
- points earned
- points used
- points balance
- opt-in or opt-out status
- support request information, if you contact CPS
This information is used to:
- operate the rewards programme
- show points balances
- allow points to be used
- prevent fraud or misuse
- fix technical issues
- support laundromats using the system
- respond to customer support requests
Even where CPS does not know your name or actual card number, tokenised transaction information may still be treated as personal information if it can be linked to an identifiable person or their behaviour.
14. Sharing information
Rewards information may be shared between:
- CPS
- the laundromat where you used your card
- payment providers
- terminal providers
- hosting and software providers
- support providers
- banks or payment processors where needed for transaction issues, disputes, chargebacks, or fraud concerns
Rewards information is not sold.
15. Access and correction
You may ask for access to, or correction of, personal information held about you.
Because this programme is card-token based and does not use your full card number, name, phone number, or email address to identify you, CPS may not be able to identify your rewards record from a general request.
CPS may ask for transaction details, date, time, laundromat location, machine used, or other reasonable information to help locate a relevant rewards record.

16. Marketing
Joining the rewards programme does not sign you up for marketing emails or text messages.
The programme does not require your email address or phone number.
17. Contact
For machine faults, refunds, service issues, or laundromat-specific questions, contact the laundromat where you used your card.
For rewards technology questions, you can also contact CPS at:
